I would say there is no need for this since you get back your ATM fees. Also you can do a cash advance (free) at a bank counter on credit card side of your card. I hope this helps.

It would be just as easy to go to any ATM & get the money out. Yes they charge you a fee but Usaa refunds those fees every month plus you may have an ATM closer than a UPS store.

No, just go to an ATM. If you find one that's a credit union, typically they won't charge you a fee (since USAA is a credit union).

Besides, $15/mo is pretty good for the automatic reimbursement.

No. You will need to go to an ATM and withdraw your cash. Remember that USAA refunds most ATM charges up to a certain limit.

answer 2
Yes, you can. It is especially easy if you are both on both accounts (the one you are transferring too and the one you are transferring from), but even if the account you are transferring to is with a different account, you can set that up online, so that you can do online deposits. You simply have to add that account, and it does take about 3 days, as I recall, for the account to be verified and all that, before you can transfer money, but once it is, you can pretty much instantly transfer money, no more waiting, no more phone calls. You will need the bank routing number and the account number.

Trying to remember how you go about doing that. I'm sure you can probably call the bank and tell them you want to add his account for automatic transfers/deposits, but you can do it online as well. Or at least you could last time I tried. I believe if you go in to set an automatic transfer it may give you the option to choose/add an account/non usaa account.

Do a little poking around, take advantage of the search option. Try searching for Transfer to a non-usaa account, or whatever the case may be.

Hope that helps! :)

Yes! If he has a USAA account, you can go into account tools and add him as a "transfer" setup. If he does not have a USAA account, you can add him as a "payee" under Pay Bills. After he's added as a payee, then you can even set up "automatic payment" if you want it to be recurring.

I know you can do this. My wife has a separate account that is authorized to transfer money from our Saving. This allows full access to our funds should something happen to me. We simply requested this access by sending an email (use the online email within the site) and it was done quickly! Your husband will need to do the request since it's his account you need access to.
Good luck!

YES, it is very easy to set up. You will only have to set it up once. You will need the bank routing number and account number of the person you are sending to. Go to the "My Account Tools" Tab above. Click "Add an Account". Click next, click get started, and enter the information requested. Select "No, I will only make deposits". Click next and continue verifying info. (it will take 1-2 days for her account to show up) Hint: Nicknaming the accounts helps you to select the right one when making transfers,

After the one time set up simply, Go to the "My Account Tools" Tab above. Select "transfer funds". Select your account in the top drop down box. Select your daughters account in the second drop down menu. The rest is self explanatory.

If you want to do a one time transfer call USAA and they will take care of it.

It just as easy if it is a non USAA account.

If it is a TTUMA account and your name is on her account you can easily transfer funds via the Web or phone to her account. If it is a separate account being that she is now over 18 years of age you do not have access to her account directly but can deposit money with her permission (I've done this over the phone with my daughter). Basically you can transfer funds from your account to hers.

Yes, you'll need her account and routing numbers (at the bottom of a check or on her Account Details page on usaa.com) then go to My Account Tools>Add an Account, and fill out the information, noting that you are not a signature authority on the account (the account you're adding is your daughters, not yours) this will enable you to deposit money into her account via the online "transfer between accounts" feature.

How long does it take for all your funds to be avaible using ups?

I just did my first deposit using UPS. Looked on my phone says it all is in my account, got home to pay my credit card and only $100 out of the $152 could be used, on hold until the 8th. answer 2
Yes, I've had this happen but for an even larger amount. I was told by USAA that the money has to go through a "loop" in electronic transfers from whomever you deposited it, through a 'clearing house' before getting to USAA. It ususally takes 4-5 business days for the transaction to clear through all the computers that have to verify that there really is money being transferred.

Usually there is a note by the deposit on your account that states there is a hold on funds until a particular date specified and only a partial deposit is credited until it clears the above hurdles. If you are in a bind, call customer service and I guarantee they will jump through hoops to help you out. If you have bills to pay before your funds will be available (like we did) then they will credit at least enough to pay the bill and give you a few spending $ until it clears.

USAA is the only financial institution where they actually proffer real Customer Service to their clients these days. I suppose that's because the 'clients' are actually the 'owners'. No Bank will treat you as well....

The easiest way to accomplish this would be for your daughter to log on to her bank's website and setup recurring transfers to your account; it doesn't matter what institute either of you does business with as long as she has your routing and account numbers. For example, if your daughter banked with USAA, she would go "My Account Tools," and then select "Add an Account" under the Transfers section. She would then follow the steps to add your checking account. Next, she would go back to "My Account Tools" and select "Make a Transfer." Your daughter's account would be in the "From" field, while your checking account would be in the "To" field. When the "Transfer Type" field appears, she'll select "Automatic Transfer" and be asked to provide the amount, frequency, and the starting and ending dates of the transfers. Finish the rest of the walkthrough, and you'd be all set.

I hope all this helps.
